Honeybee Centre offers a comprehensive basic beekeeping course that combines 18 hours of classroom instruction with 3 field sessions to give the first time beekeeper the skills to manage up to 10 colonies. Novice beekeepers, and those wanting to learn the most recent beekeeping techniques, will greatly benefit from this course.

This is an essential seminar for the serious beekeeper.  You will find out what is happening in the real world of beekeeping, how to avoid big winter losses, tricks and tips, and how to fine tune your beekeeping operation to maximize production.

• "How-to" steps to increase colony numbers
• "How-to" steps for maximizing honey flow
• Splits, nucs, and two-queen colonies
• How to re-queen easily

• All about making creamed honey

• Safely examining colonies in semi-hibernation
