In this fast-paced hands-on seminar, you will learn about the history of candle making, the types of candles and wicks available, why some candles drip and others smoke, and the benefits of burning pure beeswax versus paraffin. Participants will make and take home a number of poured and dipped candles.

Honeybee Centre offers workshops in which participants use the candle making facilities of Honeybee Centre with the guidance and assistance of an expert instructor to make the pure beeswax candles of their choosing. Workshop fee includes 500 grams of pure beeswax, moulds, tea light bases, and wicking at no cost. Extra beeswax may be purchased at discount prices. The "private" workshop is designed for groups from 8-12 people with the dates and times by appointment (evenings and weekends available).
