Honeybee Centre Covid-19 Update

To our valued Honeybee Centre customers,

As the situation around novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, we wanted to share the steps Honeybee Centre is taking to ensure the safety of the guests and team members that spend time in our store, beetsro and our honey production facility.

At this time our operating hours will continue as usual (9am-7pm 7 days a week) but we will continue to monitor the situation and keep you informed if that changes. Fry’s Corner Beestro has been closed for the time being, including all after hours bookings.

In response to the coronavirus, we have added more health & cleaning measures to make our space extra clean. These enhanced safety measures are based on the latest guidance of the World Health Organization. The actions we have/are taking include:

- We have removed our honey tasting station from the store. You can still get samples of our honey, but they will be provided by our staff who will be wearing protective gloves.

- As a food producer we already have strict guidelines that our staff must follow in regards to hygiene, hand washing and cleanliness, and will continue to ensure these guidelines and any new ones that are required are followed meticulously.

- Implementing elevated cleaning practices in our stores, including staff wearing gloves when sampling honey and disinfecting all high-traffic areas (including counters, tables, chairs, credit card machines, door handles, washrooms, etc.).

- Advising staff members who are sick or displaying symptoms to refrain from coming to work, and are not permitted to return to work until fully recovered.

- Groups that have booked visits to Honeybee Centre can contract our Education Outreach and Events Coordinator Cassie (cassie@honeybeecentre) as we have cancelled field trips and other bookings for the time being.  We have also cancelled our other educational programs and will be reaching out with further information if you have booked into them.

We take great pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. We are thankful for your understanding as we continue to navigate these evolving circumstances. We will update our practices as new details and recommendations emerge.

Thank you for your patronage.
